InVenn vs Cozi
Cozi has organized families for years, and about 400,000 people have rated it on the App Store. InVenn is newer, and it adds a kitchen Wall, chores with stars and rewards, routines and notes. Here is how they compare.

The short version
Choose Cozi if
you want a simple, proven calendar and lists app on everyone's phone, from a company that has done it for years, and an App Store listing matters to you.
Choose InVenn if
you want a screen for the kitchen wall, chores that kids want to do, routines, a family mailbox and a calendar with no ads, and you are fine with a browser app.

| Cozi | InVenn | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Shared calendar, shopping and to-do lists, recipe box. With ads, and only 30 days of events ahead. | Everything, free during the beta, with no ads. Pricing after the beta has not been announced. |
| Paid plans | Gold $39 a year: no ads, month view on mobile, search, more reminders, birthday tracker. Gold also has Shopping Mode. Max $79 a year adds AI Event Import, AI Recipe Creator and AI Meal Planner. | Plans for sync and for AI are on the roadmap. AI voice adding has a limited trial in the beta. |
| Other calendars | Read-only sharing in both directions, through calendar links. Changes can take hours to appear. | Google Calendar both ways. Outlook calendars and calendar links come in. |
| Chores | Daily or weekly repeating chores, assigned to each family member, on iOS and Android. | Chores that take turns, stars, a rewards store, a parent's OK, optional allowance. |
| Routines | Not described on Cozi's plan page. | Morning, after-school and bedtime routines with timers. |
| A screen for the wall | An app only. You can open it on a tablet. | The Wall: everyone's day on a kitchen tablet, with dinner and weather. |
| App stores | App Store and Google Play. | A browser app that installs to the Home Screen. Not in the stores yet. |
Free, with a catch, or free, for now
Cozi's free plan is genuinely useful, but it comes with ads, and the App Store listing says that adding, editing and viewing events more than 30 days ahead is part of Cozi Gold. Gold is $39 a year, and it also removes the ads. For many families that is a fair price for something they use daily.
InVenn is free during the beta, with no ads, up to 10 devices with full sync, nightly backups and a limited trial of AI voice adding. The honest caveat is the same one we put on every page: it is a beta, features change, and pricing after the beta has not been announced.
Calendars and sync
Cozi can share its calendar with other calendars and read others, but both directions are read-only, and Cozi says the changes it shares reach most calendars within 24 hours and Google Calendar in up to 48. InVenn's Google Calendar link works both ways, so an appointment you make for yourself goes into your Google Calendar, and changes there come back.
Where Cozi is the better fit
Cozi has years of use behind it, a large number of ratings and native iPhone and Android apps. If you only need shared lists and a calendar on phones, it does that well. InVenn is aimed at families who also want a kitchen screen, kids who earn stars, routines and notebooks in one place. See the family wall calendar and meal planner and grocery list for what that looks like.
